(Q) How much do pocket doors weigh ?

(A) Our pocket doors generally weigh between 65-120 lbs. I think the heaviest pocket door we have had here at our shop in Burghill, Oh was a 48″ wide x 8 ft tall pocket doors slab, and it weighed around 120 lbs.

Keep in mind that there are a few factors to consider when discussing door weight, such as the width and height of the door, as well as the species of wood, so there is no hard and fast rule for determining door weight.(Q) Do you have a hot line for problems ?

(Q) Can you put a kickplate on a pocket door ?

(A) Yes, you can put a kickplate on a pocket door if you so desire.Typically, kickplates are installed on exterior doors, and our pocket door track and hardware is not intended for exterior use, but technically there is no reason at all why you could not install a kickplate on a pocket door.
