Pocket Door Hardware Categories

There are many types of pocket door hardware sold. We have a full range of categories of pocket door hardware.

First are pocket door frame kits. These are ready made kits, with track, rollers, wood studs wrapped in steel, and complete with other miscellaneous hardware, such as guides. These pocket door frame kits come in a wide variety of sizes, for heights, widths, and for wall thicknesses.

The next type of pocket door hardware that we have available is our Wall Mount Pocket Hardware Kits . With this wall mount pocket door hardware kit, the track is applied to the outside of the wall, instead of inside the wall as in a regular pocket door frame kit. This is used where there is a load bearing wall, or in circumstances where you may have concrete or block walls, or a variety of other circumstances. Below is a piccture showing a 6 panel oak door with this hardware on a wall.

The next type of pocket door hardware that we have available is our pocket door pulls. We have both economy priced pocket door pulls and heavy duty pocket door pulls. These are available in a variety of materials and finishes. They are available in solid brass, solid bronze, and wrought steel. These pocket door pulls are avaialble in both passage and privacy functions. A passage function allows you to only open and close the doors with a pull on the side, and an edge pull built into the edge. The privacy function gives you the same functions, with the addition of a locking part that turns for privacy, such as a bedroom or bathroom. It is meant to shut the door securely, but not as a very secure lock. Shown below are examples of a polished brass economy passage pocket door pull and a heavy duty privacy pocket door pull.

The next type of pocket door hardware available is our Heavy Duty Mortise Pocket Door Locks. This type of pocket door hardware is manufactured by Gruppo Romi, and has passage, privacy, and locking functions. This is a much higher quality level of hardware, with of course a higher price. The locking type has something called a bit key, which bends in the middle, and can be left in the door, or taken out. Below is one of this pocket door hardware:

Pocket Door Frame Kit Series

There are four types of L.E. Johnson Pocket Door Frame Kits that we currently sell at PocketDoorProducts.com. These four series are the 1500 series sliding pocket door frame kits, the 1560 series sliding pocket door frame kits, the 2000 series sliding pocket door frame kits, and the 2060 series sliding pocket door frame kits.

The Johnson Hardware 1500 Series Sliding Pocket Door Frame kit is an easily assembled, structurally strong pocket door frame designed for fast installation in standard 2 x 4 timber or steel-frame stud walls typically sheathed with drywall. Versatile frame can be adapted for use in thicker walls or cut down to accept any smaller size door. Features removable aluminum track with low-friction convex track rails; guaranteed jump-proof, smooth-rolling tricycle hangers; rust-resistant, zinc-plated, steel-reinforced, timber-split studs and self-adjusting floor anchors.

In stock, we have 20 pocket door frame kits in this series in sizes starting at 2/0 (24″) wide x 6/8 (80″) high up to 4/0 (48″) wide x 8/0 (96″) high . In addition, we have some sliding pocket door frame kits for larger doors that can only be shipped by a trucking company, since they exceed the UPS size restrictions. These 5 sizes go all the way up to 5/0 (60″) wide x 9/0 (108″) high doors. These are also in stock at our location.

All frames can be cut down to accommodate any smaller size door.

Heavy duty pocket door frame featuring heavy gauge all steel split studs for maximum wall rigidity. New all steel split stud design makes a pocket door wall sheeted with standard wall board material comparable in stiffness to standard non pocket door stud walls and eliminates warpage. The 2060 is designed like the rest of our pocket door frames so it can be used for single or converging pocket door applications. The 2060 is packaged for easy transport and fast installation in standard 2 X 6 timber or steel framed stud walls.
